Dumont Dunes is located 38 miles from Baker CA off the 127 highway. If you are comming from Las Vegas its about a 105 mile trip depending on where you start from and which way you go. Some people from vegas like to take the Baker route which is about 30 minutes longer than going through Tecopa. Either way you go its well worth the drive weather its for 1 day or the whole weekend.

Directions from Las Vegas
One way you can go (my favorite way and I think the shortest way) Take Blue Diamond rd west towards Parumph. You will see a turn off for Tecopa 12 miles before Parumph (I know my directions are backwards but hey its what I got). Take Tecopa road for about 40 minutes until you hit Tecopa. Drive through Tecopa until you hit stop sign, Turn Left. Dumont is 17 miles from stop sign on the left. You cant Miss it.
 
Another route from Las Vegas is take the 15 south towards LA. Exit in Baker and go to the mad greek cafe. Turn right at the Mad Greek Cafe (Highway 127). Dumont is about 45 minutes down the road on the right. Cant miss it.
 
From southern Cali you can take the 15 to baker. Exit 1st exit for baker. Go to the mad greek and turn left on the 127. 45 min till Dumont.
 
Remember you are near Death Valley so its going to be hot out there all summer long. I dont recommend going to Dumont Dunes from May 1st through Sep 20th unless you like really hot weather.
